As one of the founders of Reesie’s Project Outreach, I see a lot of great dogs in need and I get to photograph many of them. Ellie stole the show on Sunday when we picked her up for a yard sale/adoption event. For anyone who has ever wanted one of our dogs (short, fuzzy, lazy, but with strong personalities), she is the dog for you. Beat the rush and email adopt@reesies.org to adopt her.

I’ve been authorized/asked to publicize the private event that I alluded to in the previous post. I’m happy with what Casey and I were able to put together and, most importantly, so are our clients. In my mind there were two keys to the success: first that everyone was having a great time catching up with old friends and colleagues, and second that Casey and I enabled each other to get the shots that we needed. Below are a few of my shots. Our full set can be seen here.
Inspired by a recent private reunion of a few U.S. government agencies that Casey Collings and I documented, I have added my coverage of Barak Obama’s presidential inauguration to the “projects” area of my portfolio.
I’ve included a few samples below, but even if you saw them the first time around it’s worth looking at the portfolio set. I put a little more time into processing them today so they look a bit better, but it was also great to spend the morning reliving the excitement of that event. As I said in the immediate aftermath, the inauguration was cold, crowded, and one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced.
Good work, America! We made it another year! Here’s a taste of the party at our house. Jealous?
